Linnea Carter-Griffith (MA, LPC)

We have strong staff that are available for telehealth appointments and in-person services by request. Meet our staff of therapists and Christian Counselors:
1. Dr. Valerie Tate. M.Div, DMin. – Dr. Valerie Tate Everett, a native of Youngstown, Ohio. Her ministerial journey is inclusive of being Senior Pastor of congregations in GA, NC, DC, PA and CT. She has served as University Chaplain and Dean at several prominent University’s throughou the nation. She brings over 30 years of pastoral and counseling experience working with mulitple generations throughout her career. She brings a wealth of knowledge to women, families and students.
2. Dr. Quintin Robertson. M.Div, MBA, DMin. – The Rev. Dr. Quintin L. Robertson, a native of Newark, NJ, holds ordination through the National Baptist Convention, USA and the Church of God in Christ. He serves as the Director of the Urban Theological Institute at the seminary, overseeing the Black Church Studies Program. He has over 30 years of pastoral and counseling experience working with students, couples families and individuals
3.Kareena Shuler. MA, MS, LPCA – Kareena Shuler is a dedicated therapist and mental health advocate with extensive experience in mental and behavioral health in both school and nonprofit settings. Specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, and emotional regulation, Kareena employs a client-centered, evidence-based approach to help adolescents and young adults navigate life's challenges with resilience and self- awareness. As a therapist at The Life Turn Center, she leverages her background in education and counseling to foster a supportive environment where clients feel valued and empowered to effect positive change. Committed to breaking the stigma around mental health, Kareena advocates for accessibility to high-quality therapy services, guiding individuals toward healing and personal growth.
4. Dr. April Washington . M.S.,M.Div, DMin. – Dr. April Jackson-Washington has over a decade of experience in equal access, equity, and inclusion, as well as strategic leadership and project management. Dr. April has a diverse professional background in mental health, counseling, investigation, higher education, and military service. She currently holds the position of Deputy Chief of Staff for the Provost’s Office at Bucks County Community College. Her commitment to activism spans areas such as economic theology, fair wage advocacy for women, community partnerships, and restorative justice. With over 20 years of pastoral and counseling experience, Dr. April expertise supports families with special needs.
5. Dr. Cynthia Mcknight M.S. PH.D – With a rich background in clinical pastoral counseling, temperament theory, and leadership training, she is dedicated to facilitating lasting transformation through emotional intelligence and relational growth. She specialize in helping people understand personality dynamics to improve relationships and communication within various settings, from churches to corporate teams. Her engaging approach, rooted in biblical principles and emotional health, has allowed me to train diverse audiences in leadership development, conflict resolution, and personal growth.
6. Linnea Carter-Griffith MA, LPC – Linnea Carter-Griffith is a seasoned clinician with over 25 years of experience in the mental health field and currently serves as a clinical supervisor in the School District of Philadelphia. With a robust background in leadership, administration, and clinical practice across school-based, outpatient mental health, and private settings, Linnea is passionate about working with children and young adults. She holds two master’s degrees from Lincoln University in Human Services-Counseling and Early Childhood and Special Education. As a licensed clinician for six years, Linnea specializes in assessing the therapeutic needs of clients, particularly those with ADHD, depression, and anxiety, and is pursuing special education certification to bridge the gap between mental health diagnoses and educational needs.
7. Lavonne Nichols – MA, CLC, CTI – Empathetic and results-driven certified Life Coach with over 20 years of experience in community engagement, leadership, and trauma recovery. Passionate about helping individuals unlock their potential, regain their strength, and live authentically. Seeking to leverage my expertise in personal development, coaching, and healing to support clients in overcoming challenges and achieving their life goals within a therapeutic environment.
8. Dr. Korey Grice. M.Div, DMin. -Dr. Korey Grice is a seasoned pastoral care professional with over 20 years of dedicated service to his community. His unwavering commitment to supporting individuals in times of need and guiding them on their spiritual journeys has made him a pillar of strength and compassion. Throughout his two-decade career, Dr. Grice has provided empathetic pastoral care to contless individuals and families, offering a listening ear, words of encouragement, and heartfelt prayers. His deep faith, wisdom, and nurturing spirit have touched the lives of many, fostering healing, comfort, and hope. Dr. Grice’s profound empathy and experience make him a trusted and respected figure in the realm of pastoral care, embodying a steadfast dedication to serving others with love and grace.
9. Dr. Wayne Weathers. M.Div, DMin. – Rev. Dr. Wayne Weathers was born in Chester Pennsylvania. He has earned degrees from Virigina State University, Duke Divinity and The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia.An innovative businessman, community, and political consultant. With over 25 years of Pastoral and counseling experience, Dr. Weathers brings a wealth of knowledge for leaders, families and men.
10. Shawna Price (Clinical Director) MSW, LCSW, EMDR – An accomplished Clinical Supervisor with extensive experience in non-profit organization management. Her expertise encompasses clinical supervision, adolescent therapy, crisis intervention, family therapy, and mindfulness techniques. She specializes in EMDR & Brain Spotting. Holding a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign.
